How Do Your Friends See You On Social NetworksDo you know – if you are randomly posting your photos or feeds which are intended to nurse your modest vanity on your Facebook other social networks, your friends might see you as a ‘Humble Bragger’?  Or they might have nicknamed you a ‘Joe Politics’ if you are adamantly plastering your political views on your social network profile. These two are just a couple of mentions of top 10 social networking personality types typified on the basis of a survey conducted on US based Facebook users. The study has revealed fascinating findings and facts on

  • Why our friends defriend us
  •  Our social network failures
  • Our aggressive (read: shameless?) bragging tendency
  • Our compulsive self-promoting disorder
  • Our vulnerability to catch attention by ‘vaguebooking’ “I am confused” updates
  • Our social networking behavior that crosses thin line border between sharing and shouting updates and many more.

MyLife Survey on social networking personality types

The MyLife Survey on our social networking behavior has been conducted by Harris Interactive. The study has highlighted that about 62 percent of social network users use Facebook, Twitter and other networks to be known of: people in their circles, events happening, new improvements or news flash. That’s why it is important to correct our self-promotions and social media violations or we may end up being ‘unfriended’ or blocked by our friends who are looking for updates and news.

Are you vaguebooking? Your friends may alienate you

Jeff Tinsley, the CEO of MyLife has suggested that “because social media users have the freedom to say just about anything they want via these channels, social media is an arena for common, unpleasant social faux pas”. And about 25 percent of survey respondents have admitted to be guilty of ‘vaguebooking’ and about 24% of them stalk their ex-partners’ social network profiles.

MyLife has asked them to answer a set of questions and based on those answers, it has typified social network violators into following 10 types of social networking personality types. Answer these questions on the infographic to analyze your social networking personality type.
